Domaine Misincu
Boho-luxe, nature-immersive. Whitewashed walls, natural wood, Sardinian marble, and wicker. It reads like a chic Cycladic village transplanted to wild Corsica, with very little fuss and a strong sense of place.

Why It Matters
The sole luxury hotel on the Cap Corse peninsula — one of the most unspoiled coastlines in the Mediterranean. Formerly Le Caribou, a mythical 1950s hotel-restaurant where Gainsbourg, Delon, and Romy Schneider were regulars. Reopened in May 2025 under new ownership with Michelin-starred Reine Sammut as culinary director. Won SLH Best Newcomer Hotel Award in 2018. Holds European Ecolabel certification.
The only 5-star hotel on Cap Corse, Domaine Misíncu sits on 5 hectares of maquis and sea-facing hillside at the northern tip of Corsica. White-washed Mediterranean-Cycladic architecture — think Greece, not a French palace — houses 29 rooms and 7 private villas, all with pools or plunge baths. The property calls its philosophy 'barefoot luxury', and it means it: Michelin-starred chef Reine Sammut in the kitchen, a 350 sqm spa in an olive grove, and kayaks launching from the private beach.
