Why It Matters
Sister property to the iconic Versace Mansion (The Villa Casa Casuarina), built in 1922 by the same architect Wallace Tutt. Only six rooms, all suites. Michelin Key selected. Owned by the Nakash Group whose other Miami properties include The Setai.
Six rooms. That's the whole hotel. Donatella opened in May 2025 inside a 1922 building designed by Wallace Tutt — the same architect behind the Versace Mansion a few blocks south. The Nakash Group (owners of The Setai and the former Versace Mansion) partnered with Vida & Estilo Hospitality to restore the property and build something genuinely intimate. Interiors by Mico Design Studio lean heavily Mediterranean: Italian travertine stone, warm woods, gold accents, and a hand-painted mural in the restaurant. The restaurant is honestly the centerpiece — Naples-born Executive Chef Alessandro Morrone runs a 170-seat Southern Italian room that draws non-guests as much as guests.

Bright and city-facing, with views over Collins Avenue. Good energy — you get the street buzz through the window while staying comfortable inside. Like all rooms, includes Acqua di Parma toiletries, a minibar, and a writing desk.
Bianca
The biggest of the standard rooms at 438 sq ft, overlooking the quiet terrace rather than the street. More serene feel. Includes minibar, work desk, and Acqua di Parma bath products.
Cristiana
At 453 sq ft, Cristiana is the largest of the Collins-level rooms and faces the terrace. Warm and spacious with the same premium finishes: Acqua di Parma toiletries, minibar, and a relaxing bath area.
Francesca
Faces Collins Avenue like Allegra but at 444 sq ft gives you a bit more breathing room. The street view adds some energy without being loud. Minibar, Acqua di Parma amenities, and a writing desk make it good for anyone squeezing in a bit of work.
Gaia
The smallest room at 270 sq ft but the only ADA-compliant option in the hotel. Terrace-facing and thoughtfully designed for accessibility. Has all the same Donatella touches: minibar, Acqua di Parma toiletries. Worth noting: this is a noticeably smaller space.
Serena Suite
The standout room at 503 sq ft. Terrace views and a separate living area give it a genuinely suite-like feel rather than just a bigger bedroom. Best pick for couples who want space to actually spread out. Minibar, Acqua di Parma amenities, and a luxurious bath.

Each December during Art Basel Miami and Miami Art Week, Donatella's restaurant transforms into a living gallery — artists exhibit and create works live on-site, with DJ performances and a charitable auction. A special drink is crafted exclusively for Art Week.
