Why It Matters
Run by mother-daughter duo Christine Phal and Carine Tissot who have spent 20 years promoting contemporary drawing via their art fair and exhibition space. The hotel is their most ambitious argument that drawing deserves a permanent presence in daily life — every corridor, floor, and room is treated as a canvas by its assigned artist. Pool and spa in a Paris boutique hotel is still a relative rarity.
Drawing House is the flagship property of the Drawing Hotels Collection, a project run by the Drawing Society — the same people behind the Drawing Now Art Fair and Drawing Lab exhibition space. It's a genuine art hotel, not just one with a few prints on the wall. Each floor of the nine-storey building is given over entirely to a different contemporary artist: Mathieu Dufois' work covers floors one to three, Karine Rougier takes the next three, and Alexandre & Florentine Lamarche-Ovize own the top three floors plus the entrance. For a Parisian boutique hotel, the amenities are genuinely surprising — a proper 11-metre pool, a spa with sauna and massages, Technogym fitness room, and yoga classes. The restaurant (Le Ramier) is open seven days a week and does a weekend all-you-can-eat brunch.

The entry-level room, and still a solid choice. Queen or King bed (two singles on request), separate bathroom and toilet, individual air conditioning, Chromecast TV, high-speed WiFi, What Matters vegan amenities (100% Made in France), Terres de café recyclable pods, and KODAMA organic teas. Unlimited filtered water available on each floor. The floor and wall artwork continues the story set by the corridor murals.

Deluxe
Eighth floor, private terrace, rooftop Paris views. King bed only (can convert to twins on request). This is as close as Drawing House gets to a suite experience — the terrace overlooking the city is the real selling point, and at eight floors up, you're well above the Montparnasse street noise.

Family
Two communicating Classic rooms, each with a King bed (convertible to twins). Good for families who want separate adult and child sleeping areas without sacrificing quality. Both rooms carry the full Classic amenity set.

Two bedrooms, two shower rooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace. The most spacious option in the hotel and genuinely useful for families staying several nights who want to live like locals rather than hotel guests.
