East Austin Hotel is a locally owned, 75-room boutique property sitting right on the corner of East Sixth and Waller Street — five blocks from downtown and about a mile from the Texas Capitol. The look is mid-century Scandinavian meets classic Americana, with locally crafted furniture and vintage decor throughout. It punches well above its price point: the on-site restaurant Poeta holds a Michelin Guide recognition, the courtyard pool has a retro Palm Springs feel, and the rooftop bar opens up views over the neighborhood every Thursday through Saturday night.

King or Two QueensPoolside Suites
Three of the largest rooms on property — King suites with a separate seating area, wet bar, and a private balcony or patio overlooking the pool. Each suite connects via an adjoining door to a Poolside Room with two Queen beds next door, making it easy to configure a two-bedroom setup for groups or families. Every stay includes a $10 daily dining credit.
KingThe Cabins at East Austin Hotel
26 European-style private rooms spread across two floors (13 per floor), inspired by ship cabins of old. Each room is private with a Queen bed, but bathrooms are shared — four single-occupant, full private bathrooms per floor, cleaned regularly. Think upscale hostel: robes and slippers are provided so you can walk the hall discreetly. The most affordable option on property. Great for groups booking out a whole floor. Every stay includes a $10 daily dining credit.
QueenThe Waller Wing
Superior rooms with a private en-suite bathroom and walk-in shower, overlooking the quieter Waller Street side of the property. Available with either a King bed or Two Queen beds. Every stay includes a $10 daily dining credit for the on-site restaurant or bar.

Non-guests can book a day at the retro Palm Springs-style courtyard pool via Resy. Includes access to the pool, poolside food and drink service, and validated parking. Outside food and drinks not permitted.
Book out an entire floor of Cabins (13 rooms per floor) for bachelorette parties, family reunions, or work retreats. Full-floor rentals available.
Monthly community event on the second Sunday of each month. East Austin shops, bars, and restaurants offer specials. The hotel offers 20% off stays checking in on that date (promo code SECONDSUNDAY).

A retro Palm Springs-inspired courtyard pool — approximately 40 feet long, with poolside seating, a fire pit on the pool deck, and access to the Pool Bar (Fri–Sun). Pool is unheated. Available to hotel guests daily; day passes available to the public via Resy ($15 Mon–Thu, $30 Fri–Sat, $25 Sun).
