Elysée Montmartre
Wabi-Sabi minimalism meets music-world cool. Materials-driven design with sculpted eucalyptus ceilings, Portuguese pink marble vanities, and soft neutral tones throughout. Feels more like a curated pied-à-terre than a hotel.

Why It Matters
Winner of ArchDaily's Building of the Year 2025 in the hospitality category, and a Dezeen Awards 2025 finalist. The Policronica design studio used eucalyptus wood — an invasive, fast-growing species typically used for paper production — as the near-exclusive architectural material. Genuinely unusual. Also one of a handful of Paris hotels where guests get private rooftop access to a major live music venue next door.
Opened in February 2025 inside a building with 200 years of history, this 16-room boutique hotel sits wedged between the Trianon and Élysée Montmartre concert halls on Boulevard Rochechouart. Architect Julien Labrousse and producer Abel Nahmias built the interiors around a single unlikely material — eucalyptus wood, typically destined for paper pulp, compressed and crafted into custom furniture, staircase treads, and ceiling panels throughout. The result is quiet and warm, not loud. No spa, no rooftop pool, no grand lobby. What you get instead: generous rooms by Paris standards, a guest-only coffee bar that actually invites lingering, a private screening room stocked with vintage laser discs, a dedicated kids' playroom, and — the real kicker — rooftop access to Trianon concerts via a private entrance.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
Flexible lounge spaces available for co-working upon request at reception. Useful for remote workers wanting a change of scenery from the bedroom.
A dedicated children's room reserved for families staying at the hotel. Stocked with games, books, and activities for all ages. One of the few Parisian boutique hotels to offer a genuinely separate space for children.
A dedicated cinema room on the first floor, curated by co-founder and producer Abel Nahmias with his personal collection of vintage laser discs — a rare format prized for image quality and titles that exist only in this medium. Guests browse the collection freely and can screen films independently. Works just as well for families with kids as for cinephiles.
Hotel guests holding tickets for Trianon concerts get priority entry via a private entrance that runs across the hotel rooftops — bypassing the general queue and connecting directly to the historic Art Deco venue next door. One of the most genuinely useful perks at any Paris hotel.
