Why It Matters
It's not one repurposed factory building — it's an entire brewery complex, now the centrepiece of a self-contained urban campus complete with a lake, a Fitness First Platinum Club, shops, and restaurants. Hotel guests and Münster locals mix freely here; all the dining outlets have separate street entrances.
The Factory Hotel sits inside the protected walls of the former Germania Brewery, a 100-year-old red-brick complex north of Münster's city centre. Opened in 2008, it anchors the broader Germania Campus mixed-use district. Exposed clinker bricks and steel beams butt up against raw board-formed concrete in architect Christian Olufemi's design — the contrast is deliberate and it works.

At 56m², these suites are genuinely spacious. A separate lounge area with a sofa bed and custom-made 'Factory made' furniture — designed and built in the hotel's own workshop.
