Why It Matters
Fujairah's only art-inspired luxury hotel, positioned on the quieter, less-developed Gulf of Oman coastline. The mountain-meets-sea setting is genuinely dramatic. Opened in 2017 on the Gulf of Oman side of the UAE, Fairmont Fujairah sits dramatically between the jagged Al Hajar Mountains and the coast at Dibba, about 90 minutes from Dubai. It bills itself as Fujairah's only art-inspired hotel — the whole place leans into a modern bohemian meets Arabesque art deco aesthetic, and it shows in everything from the lobby artwork to the pink-tinged exterior. All 181 rooms have private balconies, and the resort runs five food and beverage outlets, a spa, and a genuinely solid activity lineup.
