Finca La Bobadilla
Old Andalusia with genuine luxury. Mudéjar architecture, stone fountains, olive groves going in every direction. Feels like a private village, not a hotel resort. The pace is slow by design.
Book La Jara (the fine-dining restaurant) well in advance — it fills up fast, especially in high season
Why It Matters
Member of The Leading Hotels of the World and holder of a Michelin Guide hotel key. The fine-dining restaurant La Jara (formerly La Finca) carries a Michelin Star. The estate is also an eco pioneer: it was the first luxury hotel to use olive-stone biomass fuel as an energy source, cutting carbon emissions by 80% and energy consumption by 45%. The Flow Spa's signature 90-minute Olive Oil Ritual uses estate-grown extra virgin olive oil.
A 350-hectare estate in the Sierra de Loja, midway between Málaga and Granada, built and designed to look like an Andalusian hilltop village — whitewashed walls, arched walkways, courtyard after courtyard, and a private Moorish chapel with reportedly the most important private organ in Europe. The 73 rooms are spread across the property so guests rarely feel crowded. Under Único Hotels since 2025, the place has been thoughtfully updated while keeping its essential character intact.

Regular guided tastings of the estate's olive oil. Offered three times per week according to previous reports. A natural extension of the property's deep connection to the olive groves surrounding it.
Hands-on cooking classes with the kitchen team. Must be booked a minimum of one week in advance.
The kitchen team sets up a picnic either in the estate's kitchen garden or delivers it by 4x4 to a remote spot on the estate. Cold cuts, local cheese, salads, fruit, and chilled organic wine.
Outdoor yoga sessions in the estate gardens, surrounded by fragrant planting and mountain views. Scheduled classes designed to start the day slowly.
A four-day curated wellness programme by Tribe Retreats. Yoga and fitness sessions, horseback riding, and structured time to slow down and recover energy. Scheduled October 1–4, 2026.
