Insider Tip
1/5

Ask for a Caspian Sea-view room on a higher floor — the sea view from the corner turret suites (Panoramic Suite) is genuinely spectacular and worth the upgrade.

Why It Matters

The only Five-Star luxury hotel of this calibre in Baku, and one of the most prominent social hubs in the city. The building is a landmark in itself. Its penthouse spa, Jaleh, has Caspian Sea-view treatment rooms and a traditional hammam that's hard to find at this quality anywhere in the Caucasus region. Also regularly hosts Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix guests — the circuit runs past the hotel.

Baku's clear luxury standout sits right on Neftchilar Avenue in a Beaux Arts building that opened in 2012. The architecture does a lot of the heavy lifting: grand iron-and-marble staircase, crystal chandeliers, and rooms that look either toward the Caspian Sea or across the park toward the Old City. The Flame Towers flicker in view too, which captures the city's whole personality — ancient walls, Soviet legacy, oil-money modernity — in one glance from your balcony.
