Chicago
Urban luxury with a Chicago personality — contemporary art, live music at Adorn, Rottet Studio interiors, and a surprisingly family-friendly operation beneath all the polish.
Book a Lake-View Room rather than City-View if you can swing it — those east-facing windows looking straight at Lake Michigan are the hotel's biggest selling point
Why It Matters
One of Chicago's definitive luxury addresses. Perched above the Magnificent Mile with Lake Michigan views, a Rottet Studio renovation, and Adorn Restaurant earning a Michelin Guide mention. The hotel also sits directly atop 900 shops at 900 North Michigan, so you can walk downstairs to Gucci, Kate Spade, and lululemon without leaving the building.
The Four Seasons Chicago occupies floors 30 to 46 of a limestone-and-glass skyscraper right on the Magnificent Mile, which means every single one of its 345 rooms has a view — either Lake Michigan to the east or the Chicago skyline. Rottet Studio handled a full renovation that took it from classic-formal to something warmer and more residential, with art throughout and a genuine sense of place. The lobby is up on the 7th floor, which might disorient you on arrival, but the tradeoff is that you step out to Adorn Restaurant, cocktails, and sweeping views of North Michigan Avenue below.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The concierge team can tailor-fit an architecture tour covering Chicago's landmark buildings — Art Deco to Postmodern. Chicago invented the skyscraper in 1884, and the city's architectural canon is genuinely world-class.
Concierge-arranged visit to the Art Institute of Chicago — the second-largest art museum in the US with over 300,000 works. A 120-minute experience available year-round, Monday and Wednesday through Sunday.
Classic ice cream sundae service delivered to your room — a particular hit with families and kids.
A staff member brings a mobile martini cart to your room or suite and mixes custom martinis tableside. One of the hotel's most talked-about signature experiences.
Resident musicians perform weekly at Adorn — South American guitarists, Chicago jazz veterans, and DJs spinning house, funk, and disco. Thursday through Saturday evenings and Sunday brunch.
The hotel offers a complimentary luxury house car for rides anywhere within a 2-mile radius of the hotel — useful for reaching nearby attractions without needing a cab or rideshare.
Exclusive late-night multi-guest spa treatment with private access to the indoor pool and whirlpool, plus bites from the pastry team. A popular option for celebrations and special occasions.
Kids receive an activity book at check-in and collect stamps from nine hotel locations — restaurant, spa, lobby, and more. Complete all nine and they get a prize from the front desk. Also available: pool toys and floaties, welcome toy from a 'treasure chest' at check-in.
