Frutt Mountain Resort sits at 1,920 meters above sea level on the car-free plateau of Melchsee-Frutt, about an hour from Lucerne — and the only way up in winter is a cable car from Stöckalp. Two modern alpine buildings (the adults-leaning Mountain Lodge and the family-focused Lago Lodge) are connected by an underground tunnel, together offering 114 rooms and suites with warm wood interiors, two spa zones totaling 1,200 m², four restaurants, and direct ski-in/ski-out access. Fishing is available in the alpine lake setting right around the resort.
Trails begin right outside the hotel. The famous four-lake hike from Engelberg to Melchsee-Frutt (or vice versa) is the marquee route in summer. Guests also benefit from the Joch Pass hiking route starting from sister property Kempinski Palace Engelberg.
E-bikes available for rental on-site. The Melchsee-Frutt plateau and surrounding trails make for excellent mountain biking.

Melchsee-Frutt was voted best resort in the 'Small and Excellent' category by Blick and Switzerland Tourism, and won the Blick Winter Awards 2025/26 for 'Leisure and Fun'.

State-of-the-art seminar rooms on the top floor with large windows, panoramic mountain views, and rooftop/sun terrace access. Capacity for up to 120 guests. Suitable for indoor and outdoor workshops.
Melchsee-Frutt is a car-free zone. In winter, the gondola from Stöckalp is the only access. In summer, a single-lane road opens, with parking approximately 500m from the hotel. Parking at Stöckalp valley station is available at additional cost year-round.
Dogs are welcome. The hotel provides dog equipment on request, including a dog pillow, dog treats, and toys.
Luggage transport from the Stöckalp cable car valley station directly to the hotel rooms. Included in certain packages; available separately. Cable car luggage transport runs until 17:20 (summer) and 17:30 (winter).
