Furore Grand Hotel
Contemporary Mediterranean minimalism with a Greek island aesthetic. Everything is white on white, offset by the deep blues outside. No fussy antiques or heavy drapes — just clean lines, fine linens, Ortigia bath products, and serious sea views from every single room.

Why It Matters
One of the newest 5-star properties on the Amalfi Coast with a Michelin-starred restaurant (Bluh Furore, 1 star since 2024), what is claimed to be the largest spa on the coast, two infinity pools, and every room facing the Tyrrhenian Sea. Membership in Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Virtuoso, Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, and the Michelin guide confirms its positioning.
A 35-room, 5-star clifftop hotel carved into the terraces above the Fiordo di Furore, midway between Positano and Amalfi. The design leans hard into Hellenic minimalism — creamy whites, marble floors, and hand-painted Vietri ceramics — spread across nine cascading terraces that drop toward the Tyrrhenian Sea. Opened in 2024 after a reported €30 million renovation by brothers Pietro, Giuliano, and Alessandro Irollo de Lutiis, it earned a Michelin star at its on-site restaurant Bluh Furore within its first year.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
Free scheduled shuttle service runs 4 times per day to Amalfi, about 20 minutes away. Reservations recommended as space is limited.
A full-day package open to external guests: indoor spa access (heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath, cold plunge), outdoor spa (infinity pool, Kneipp path), a 50-minute massage, and a €30 Acquarasa lunch credit.
The hotel hands you water bottles and maps for the descent to the Fiordo di Furore — over 1,000 steps down. Club Alpino Italiano-marked trails depart from the fjord, including the colourfully named 'Fishing Vixen' and 'Crazy Bats' routes through cliffside woodland and abandoned fishermen's huts.
The concierge can arrange transport to the trailhead of the famous Sentiero degli Dei — a 4.3-mile trail from Agerola to Nocelle with extraordinary coastal panoramas.
Two outdoor infinity pools with dedicated sunbeds and pool bar. The pools are designed to visually dissolve into the Tyrrhenian Sea — the main pool is approximately 1,000 sqm. The spa also has a dedicated outdoor infinity pool within the Petramare circuit.
Outdoor yoga sessions and Pilates classes are available through the spa, set against the coastal landscape. Private classes with instructors available on request.
The hotel has skippers on speed dial for half- and full-day private boat excursions. Destinations include Positano, Nerano, Capri, and Ischia. The best way to see this coastline is from the water.
Concierge-arranged visits to nearby wineries including Marisa Cuomo, one of the most respected producers on the Amalfi Coast. Also food-focused village experiences.
