Gagliardi sits inside a late 19th-century palazzo right in the historic centre of Noto — a UNESCO-listed Baroque city in southeast Sicily whose golden limestone streets look like a film set in the late afternoon light. The rooftop terrace looks directly onto the Cathedral of San Nicolò, Palazzo Ducezio and the Bishop's Palace. There's also a walled garden with bitter orange trees and a centuries-old palm that you'd never guess existed from the street.
