Gatsby Athens is a 33-room Art Deco boutique hotel carved out of a 1930s building that used to be one of Athens' first police stations. The design duo of WOA and Michaelis & Boyd restored the marble staircases and bones of the place, then layered in pastel pink headboards, golden wardrobes, diamond-tiled showers, and velvet corner sofas. The result is unmistakably hedonistic: part Jazz Age fantasy, part Athenian house party, with a rooftop fireplace, a moody basement treatment room accessed through secret passageways, and a restaurant that fills with DJs by night.
