Why It Matters
One of very few 4-star boutique hotels in Quimper, and the only one inside the UNESCO-area Locmaria Priory. Curated by Tablet Hotels and listed in the MICHELIN Guide. The spa retains the priory's rough-hewn stone walls. Breakfast ingredients come directly from farms and producers within 15km.
A converted 11th-century priory in Quimper's historic Locmaria district, right on the banks of the Odet river. Owners Catherine and Hervé Laurent — atypical hoteliers by their own description — have filled the place with XXL paintings and monumental sculptures, commissioned custom furniture from Breton craftsmen, and built a private spa into the old stone walls. Twenty rooms and suites, a proper breakfast built on local organic produce, and a genuinely calm setting five minutes' walk from the old town.

Upper-floor rooms with views over the classified medieval priory garden and the Odet river. Same generous bedding as Superior category but with the added bonus of garden and river panoramas. Contemporary design with a small seating area, flatscreen TV, air conditioning, and Italian shower bathroom.

Ground-floor rooms with air conditioning. Clean, minimal design with a designer headboard and mood lighting for an intimate feel. Egyptian cotton and silk percale sheets with hypoallergenic pillows. Anti-fog mirror with integrated magnifying mirror in the bathroom, Italian rain shower. One room in this category is fully accessible for guests with reduced mobility.

Duplex Confort
A two-level room in a separate building directly opposite the priory. Ground floor has a desk area, dressing/wardrobe, luggage rack, safe, and bathroom with Italian walk-in shower and WC. The sleeping area is upstairs via a narrow staircase — a large 160x200cm bed, orientable flatscreen TV, and a design armchair with footrest. Private entrance with direct access to the garden. No air conditioning. Not suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Suite Junior
Available on the ground floor and second floor. Spacious with a proper sitting area — sofa or banquette and armchairs — plus a desk or console. Bathroom has either an Italian shower or a bathtub with separate WC. Can sleep one additional child on a banquette bed (€32/night supplement, age-dependent, on request). Two junior suites are configured specifically as family rooms. Good choice for business stays too — reliable fast fibre WiFi and a real workspace.

Full-day 8-hour sea excursion in the Parc Naturel Marin d'Iroise, departing from Saint-Guénolé Penmarch (30 minutes from hotel). Wildlife spotting (seals, dolphins, seabirds), 3-hour island stop on Molène. Adult €90, children (7–12) €60.
The hotel stores guests' bicycles overnight in a secure lockup. Detailed cycling maps of the Finistère Sud — including the coastal voies vertes and GR34 paths — are available free at reception. Multiple marked cycling routes start within minutes of the hotel.

A flower-lined towpath along the Odet river connects the hotel to Quimper's old town and Saint-Corentin Cathedral in around 10 minutes on foot. Flat, scenic, and car-free.
