Why It Matters
One of the great surviving 19th-century grand hotels of the French Riviera, original opening 1888. First NUXE Spa on the Côte d'Azur. Member of Curio Collection by Hilton, Historic Hotels Worldwide since 2018, and Les Collectionneurs. 2025 Historic Hotels Worldwide Awards of Excellence Nominee Finalist. Restored by the Lelièvre family after 50 years of dormancy.
Built in 1888 for Marius Michel — a French count, Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur, and Pacha of the Ottoman Empire — this white-façaded palace dominated the Sablettes bay for the Belle Époque elite before going dark for half a century. The Lelièvre family restored it and brought it back as part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. It's not a period museum piece: the rooms are modern and bright, there are 52 with Mediterranean sea views, and 9 suites have private Tropézienne terraces with hot tubs. The Spa NUXE — first of its kind on the Côte d'Azur — and three distinct restaurants round out a genuinely full-service resort sitting directly above Les Sablettes beach.

Steps up from the Classic Room with a balcony — views vary. Ask at booking what the balcony actually overlooks. Still compact but the outdoor space makes a meaningful difference.
Classic Room
The entry-level option. At 18–20 sqm it's honest about being compact, but the décor is cheerful and the travel-themed touches give it character. Views are toward Les Sablettes district and Mont Faron — not the sea. Good for solo travellers or couples who plan to spend most of their time outside.

Deluxe Classic Balcony Room
Upgraded balcony room with more space and a garden or partial sea outlook. The step up from the Classic Balcony in both size and finish.
Deluxe Sea View Room
At 22–25 sqm this is where the hotel starts to sing. South-facing balcony directly over the Mediterranean — sunrise and sunset both on offer. Italian shower in the bathroom. The step up in size and outlook from the Classic rooms is immediately noticeable.

The stand-out mid-tier suite. Under the roofline, 45–50 sqm inside plus a proper 12 sqm Tropézienne terrace with a two-person hot tub, outdoor shower, and two sun loungers — all facing the sea. Italian shower AND bathtub in the bathroom. Fits four adults with the convertible sofa. This is the one.

The entire top floor, privately accessed by elevator. 120 sqm inside plus a 100 sqm Tropézienne terrace with hot tub, dining table, and sunbathing space — all with 180° views over Sablettes Bay and the Mediterranean. Two separate king-size bedrooms, two fully-glazed bathrooms with sea views, a bar area, lounge with sofa bed, and indoor dining room. Sleeps six. The elevator goes directly down to the hotel's spa. Nothing else at this hotel touches it.
