Grantley Hall is a Grade II* listed 17th-century Palladian mansion set on 38 acres in North Yorkshire, opened as a hotel in 2019. The exterior looks exactly as it did three centuries ago; inside, it has been rebuilt to contemporary five-star standard without sacrificing the original oak panelling and historical bones. Forty-seven rooms, five restaurants (one with a Michelin star), three bars, and a genuinely exceptional spa — this is as complete a country house hotel as you'll find anywhere in England.
