Grau Roig sits at the literal end of the road — 2,100 meters up in the Andorran Pyrenees, 10 meters from the Grandvalira ski lifts, with nowhere left to go but the slopes. It started life as a mountain shelter in the 1970s and has been quietly upgraded into a 42-room boutique hotel that takes food and wine seriously enough to run four distinct dining venues, including a wine-pairing theatre with over 300 labels. The exterior is understated (think brown-brick Bavarian lodge), but inside it's warm oak, stone, and leather throughout — the kind of place that feels like it actually belongs on a mountain rather than being plonked there.

The entry-level room here still punches well above its weight. Decorated with pale oak, stone, and leather — mountain materials handled with real care. Bathroom is integrated into the room concept rather than treated as an afterthought, with a hydro-massage Jacuzzi bathtub alongside a separate shower. Some rooms have a balcony with outdoor furniture; some include a single sofa bed for a child.

The go-to option for families or couples wanting genuine space. At 40–45 sqm it's meaningfully larger, with a private balcony directly overlooking the Grandvalira slopes — one of the best vantage points in the hotel.
