Hacienda Bambusa

Why It Matters
Michelin Key recipient (2025). Owned by the family of Colombian Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya. One of only a handful of working-farm boutique hotels in the Coffee Triangle with private-pool suites. The only lodging for miles — total seclusion on a 180-hectare estate. Art throughout the property by Santiago Montoya, son of the owners.
Hacienda Bambusa sits on a working 180-hectare farm deep in Colombia's UNESCO-protected Coffee Triangle, reached via a bumpy dirt road framed by cacao, banana, and pineapple trees. The two-story house is built from bamboo and clay in the traditional style of the region's historic coffee mansions — fully restored and quietly luxurious inside. With only 7 rooms and Andes mountain views in every direction, it's the kind of place you don't leave much. There's no hotel for miles.
