HarbourView Inn
Southern charm with a contemporary polish. Exposed brick in the historic wing, working gas fireplaces in select rooms, handcrafted armoires — but also Tempur-Pedic beds, rainfall showers, and modern tile bathrooms. Think understated, grown-up boutique. No pool, no restaurant, no spa — this is a neighborhood inn that bets everything on its location and personal service.
Ask for a Historic wing room — the 14-foot ceilings, exposed brick, and soaking tubs in the Two Queen Historic rooms are worth the upgrade.
Why It Matters
Michelin One Key hotel (2024 & 2025), TripAdvisor Top 5 Best Hotels in Charleston (2025), Travel + Leisure Top 15 Hotels in Charleston (2025). The only waterfront downtown boutique hotel in Charleston. The 1800s building was restored by Goff D'Antonio Associates and won the 2000 Coastal Living Magazine National Award for Contextual Design.
HarbourView Inn is a 52-room boutique hotel sitting right at the edge of Charleston's French Quarter, directly across from Waterfront Park. It's a newly renovated 1800s building — four stories, intimate scale — that earned a Michelin One Key designation in 2024 and 2025. The real hook isn't just the harbor view (though many rooms and the rooftop terrace have it); it's the location: Waterfront Park is literally out front, Rainbow Row is a short walk, and Charleston City Market is about nine minutes on foot.
