Why It Matters
Ranked #2 of 108 Brooklyn hotels on TripAdvisor. Part of the Box House Group, the same team behind The Box House Hotel. The entire building feels like a loft apartment block, not a hotel — a genuinely rare thing in NYC. Penthouse rooms come with private roof decks overlooking the Manhattan skyline.
A converted 19th-century textile warehouse in Greenpoint, the Henry Norman gets its name from the intersection of North Henry Street and Norman Avenue. Its 50 loft-style rooms feature 13-foot tin-plated ceilings, exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and commissioned local artwork — the kind of space that actually feels like Brooklyn rather than a hotel trying to look like it. No full restaurant on site, but rooms have well-stocked minibars and a light continental breakfast runs daily.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Free hotel shuttle running 7am–10:50pm within a one-mile radius. Will drop you at Nassau Ave G train, Vernon & Jackson 7 train, Bedford Ave L train, McCarren Park, and nearby restaurants. Guests have been picked up in both a Mercedes SUV and a vintage taxi. One of the best things about the hotel given its somewhat removed location.
Self-service laundry room with multiple washers and dryers on-site — useful for extended stays.
Common outdoor terraces on various levels for alfresco lounging. Good for grabbing some air without heading all the way up to the roof.
Shared rooftop terrace with panoramic Manhattan skyline views. Open to all guests. Tables and chairs provided. No bar service up there, but you can bring drinks from the minibar.
Vintage yellow Checker cabs parked on the property, used as decor and for in-house car service vibes. Popular for photos. Doubles as a throwback NYC prop.
