A 19th-century mayor's residence turned 14-room boutique hotel, run since 2008 by couple Ute and Peter. The white-façade villa sits opposite Schlosspark in Aurich's old town, wrapped in a large garden. Rooms are individually decorated in a black-and-white palette with hardwood floors — no two are alike. Peter is a trained chef, and his episodic dinner events ('Peter kocht!') are a genuine draw. No pool, no spa, no gym. Just a beautiful garden, a chandelier bar, and hospitality that's actually personal.

A step up from standard — more space with a seating area. Includes sofa or armchairs with coffee table, garden views, hardwood floors, and the same individual décor philosophy as the rest of the house. Extra-long beds available. Breakfast included.
Standard-Doppelzimmer (Standard Double)
The entry-level double, available with either two beds or a French double (1.40m). Individually decorated in the hotel's signature black-and-white style with wooden floors. Flat-screen TV, private bathroom with shower, and hairdryer. Breakfast included.
Superiorzimmer (Superior Double)
The top-tier room and the one to request. Under the roof with its own private terrace looking out over the garden — a genuine perk in a town-center hotel. Billed as the room for families and couples alike. Plenty of space, individual character, and the same wooden floors and black-and-white style. Extra bed or baby cot available. Breakfast included.
