Hotel DeBrett is a 25-room Art Deco boutique hotel on High Street in central Auckland — one of the city's most characterful streets, lined with independent shops, barbers, and coffee houses. The building dates back decades and has been painstakingly restored and reimagined, so the bones are heritage but the rooms are thoroughly modern. A central glass-roofed atrium anchors the whole property and gives it a sense of drama you don't get in a standard city-centre hotel.
