A restored 1910 two-storey villa on the corner of Richmond and Fitzroy roads in Ponsonby. Ten rooms split across the original old-world manor and a clean-lined modern annex — each with king beds, lofty ceilings, heated bathroom floors, and a complimentary mini-bar. Think residential rather than hotel: breakfast arrives on a tray to your room, drinks and hors d'oeuvres are served in the library each evening at 5pm, and the hosts know your name. Ponsonby Road — with its cafés, restaurants, and boutiques — is a five-minute walk.

Everything from the Superior Room carries over, with the upgrade being the extra space, the street-level views, and the charming lounge corner that makes the room feel more like a private apartment than a hotel suite.

Housed in the original 1910 villa, these rooms take their cues from the building's lofty ceilings and oversized statement windows. Spacious and naturally lit, they feel warm rather than austere. Soft furnishings, high-thread-count bedding, a generous ensuite with walk-in shower and separate toilet, underfloor heating, and a fully stocked complimentary mini-bar. The 48-inch TV comes loaded with Sky channels, Movielink, and Chromecast.
