Hotel Flora is an independently owned boutique hotel in a pale pink Victorian building with a green copper roof, right on Grönsakstorget in central Gothenburg. Open since 1993, it now has 71 individually designed rooms styled by Danish firm Design By Us — think The Rock Room, Lady Flora, and The Old Swedish History Room, rather than interchangeable chain-hotel decor. The lobby bar doubles as the breakfast room and draws in locals too, giving the place a genuine neighbourhood feel that most city-centre hotels struggle to fake.
