Hotel GIN is a 35-room design boutique B&B in downtown Pest, sitting practically on the doorstep of the Hungarian National Museum. Rooms wrap around an original soaring spiral staircase — seriously, tilt your phone camera up — dressed in soft grays, mid-century woods, and terrazzo-tiled bathrooms, all designed by local architects. No restaurant, no bar, no pool. But free coffee flows from the lobby all day, and Hungarian wine by the bottle is yours to drink in the stylish lounge or haul upstairs.

The entry-level option, sitting on the 4th floor. At 16 sqm, these rooms are compact — and the sloped ceiling makes them feel smaller than the number suggests. That said, the fit-out is sharp: terrazzo tile, warm woods, Nespresso machine, and a SMEG kettle. You can choose between a bathtub or rain shower, which is a nice touch at this price point. Comfy Room
The sweet spot at Hotel GIN. These 26 sqm rooms sit on the 1st and 2nd floors and have high ceilings that nod to old Budapest's bourgeois apartments — a genuinely different feel from the upper-floor rooms. Generous wardrobes, seating area, king bed. No balcony, but the extra ceiling height makes these feel considerably more spacious.

Grand Room
The top category at 28 sqm — and the only room type with a private balcony. Start breakfast outside, work from the desk, or sink into the sofa for a movie.
