Hotel Hartness opened in March 2023 on the former estate of one of Greenville's most prominent families. The French Revival–style mansion — once the private home — now serves as the hotel's lobby, great room, and bar. Around it: 73 rooms and suites, a serious restaurant, a six-treatment-room spa, and 180 acres of preserved nature with 15 miles of trails. It's not downtown. It's a destination unto itself.
