Hotel Hubertus
Contemporary alpine luxury with architectural ambition. Warm wood and local stone interiors, panoramic glass everywhere, family-owned and run with personal attention. Strong wellness DNA – pools, saunas, and spa treatments dominate the guest experience. The hotel has a genuine social media following (672K Instagram followers) which has turned the Sky Pool into one of Europe's most photographed hotel features.
All rates are quoted per person per night and include ¾ wellness board (breakfast, afternoon snack buffet, and 5-6 course dinner). The headline price is not the room rate – it is the per-person all-in rate.
Why It Matters
The Sky Pool – a 25m glass-bottomed infinity pool cantilevered 12 metres above the Alpine meadow, designed so the water surface appears to merge with the horizon – is what put Hotel Hubertus on the global radar. Add the Heaven & Hell Sky Spa (an architectural platform with whirlpools and saunas suspended above the valley), 9 heated pools total, 8 saunas, a partner arrangement with South Tyrol's only 3-Michelin-star chef Norbert Niederkofler, and you have a resort that punches well above its size. EarthCheck Silver certified for sustainability.
Hotel Hubertus sits above the village of Olang on a south-facing hillside at 1,250m, staring straight at the Dolomite peaks. The Gasser family turned what was once a small mountain inn into a 74-room, 5-star resort where the architecture is genuinely the attraction: a 25-metre glass-bottomed Sky Pool cantilevered 12 metres above the mountain meadow, and the Heaven & Hell wellness platform designed by NOA (Network of Architecture) that floats above the valley. The ski slopes of Kronplatz are three minutes away by the hotel's free shuttle. But this is as much a summer destination as a winter one – in warm months, four resident hiking guides lead daily excursions into the surrounding Dolomite landscape.
