The lobby has two wood-burning fireplaces, walls lined with curated books and sepia-toned photographs, and Turkish rugs over parquet floors — the overall effect is calm, erudite, and genuinely stylish without trying too hard. Straight upstairs is the rooftop terrace, and from there you're looking directly at the Blue Mosque and across the Sea of Marmara.

Worth the upgrade if you can swing it. At 26 sqm, these are noticeably more comfortable, with pale wood flooring, silvery embossed wallpaper, leather sofas, and a proper sitting area. Some have a separate sitting area with a daybed; some have a small private terrace with a table and chairs for two. Same full amenity set as the Standard rooms.
