Indigo Kraków
Art-forward Polish boutique. Bold, eclectic interiors with a strong local cultural identity. Feels more like a design hotel than a chain, despite the IHG flag.
The Old Kleparz market across the street supplies the restaurant's kitchen — worth a browse in the morning before it winds down
Why It Matters
Won IHG's Torchbearer Award (given to fewer than 1% of IHG properties), first place in the Interior Design Awards, and earned consecutive Michelin Guide listings for its restaurant. It's the first Hotel Indigo to open in Poland. Standard rooms are on the small side (13–21 sqm), but the suite hits 45 sqm.
A 56-room boutique hotel in a 19th-century tenement building right next to the Old Kleparz food market — one of Krakow's oldest. The whole place is built around Polish art history: rooms are individually designed and named after three Polish masters (Matejko, Wyspiański, Nowosielski), with each floor shifting visual style from florid historicism to moody abstraction. The on-site restaurant, Filipa 18, earned Michelin Guide recognition in both 2023 and 2024.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The hotel regularly hosts rotating art exhibitions in its public spaces. Past shows have included work by Daniel del Rosal Garcia and Aleksandra Badura. Part of the hotel's ongoing commitment to the local Krakow art scene, which sits right on its doorstep near the Academy of Fine Arts.
Off-site 18-hole golf course partnership. The club covers 160 hectares in Paczołtowice, surrounded by forest. The hotel can help arrange access. Not close — it's a drive out of the city.
The hotel partners with KrakowDirect to offer curated local experiences run by Krakow residents. Bookable directly through the KrakowDirect website. A decent shortcut to finding experiences that go beyond the tourist trail.
Not a hotel-organized activity, but it's right across the street. One of Krakow's oldest markets (trading since the 12th century), it supplies the Filipa 18 kitchen. Worth a visit on any morning for local produce, cheese, bread, and flowers. Goes until mid-morning.
Rooftop bar on the 6th floor that opens for the summer season. Views over the Kleparz district. Good for sundowners before dinner at Filipa 18.
