Hotel Lamm
Casual luxury with serious mountain credentials. Modern alpine design — clean lines, warm oak, and dark tones — without the kitsch of traditional Tyrolean folk decor. The vibe is active-days, elegant-evenings.
Half-board is genuinely worth adding — the evening multi-course dinner is high quality
Why It Matters
The Lampl Stube gourmet restaurant is the main reason food lovers make the trip — just three tables, two tasting menus named after the chef's parents, and recognized by Gault&Millau (14.5 points, 2 toques), Gambero Rosso, and more. Chef Marc Oberhofer was named Chef of the Year 2026. The rooftop Sky Spa with pool at 30°C and views of the Kastelruth bell tower is another genuine highlight.
Hotel Lamm sits right on the historic village square of Kastelruth — a 17th-century building (dating to 1670) that was gutted and relaunched in 2018 as a sharp design hotel. Oak floors, box-spring beds, and balconies facing the Schlern mountain anchor every room. The rooftop Sky Spa with its glass-roofed pool directly overlooking the village bell tower is genuinely one of the region's standout wellness spaces.
