One of Europe's oldest luxury hotels, with a guesthouse on this Rhine-side site documented as far back as 1026 and the current Belle Époque building dating to 1844. After a full two-year renovation overseen by Herzog & de Meuron, the hotel reopened its reimagined annex at Blumenrain 2 in June 2025 — bringing new rooms, an expanded spa, and the Banks restaurant alongside the historic main building. The address is serious: Napoleon dined here in 1797, Queen Elizabeth II stayed, and Voltaire, Dickens, and Duke Ellington all passed through.
