Hotel Lucia is a 127-room art-forward boutique hotel in downtown Portland, operating since 1909 out of a turn-of-the-century building at SW Broadway and Harvey Milk Street. The big draw is an extraordinary permanent collection of 680 black-and-white photographs by Pulitzer Prize-winning Oregon photographer David Hume Kennerly — not lobby filler, but iconic shots plastered across corridors, guest rooms, and public spaces. Rooms run small (entry-level Deluxe rooms start at 165 sq ft), but the hotel leans hard into personality: a lobby arcade with full-sized games, nightly craft beer hour, complimentary bike rentals, and genuinely warm staff whose "Make It So" service philosophy actually shows up in reviews.
