MJ'S is a maximalist boutique hotel right in the old town of Malmö, steps from Lilla Torg. Flamingos on the carpets, House of Hackney prints on the walls, king-size beds with pillows the size of your torso — it leans hard into the decadent and playful. But underneath all the theatre is a seriously well-run hotel: attentive staff, a Mediterranean restaurant sourcing produce from its own farm just outside the city, and three distinct bars including the speakeasy Lillies. Last Friday of every month, the Lobby Bar hosts a DJ after-work from 5PM. A local institution — hotel guests and Malmö regulars mixed together.
The speakeasy Lillies hosts DJs and occasional live music on Friday and Saturday nights during autumn and winter. Soulful, funky, disco sets. Open to hotel guests and the public.
