Hotel Moments Budapest
Historic grandeur with contemporary Art Deco interiors. The lobby with its frescoes and marble columns feels genuinely old-Budapest, while the rooms are clean, modern, and quietly stylish. Welcoming to couples, business travelers, and families equally.
The Signature Design rooms face Andrássy Avenue and are worth the upgrade — views, Rituals toiletries, and a Marshall Bluetooth speaker.
Why It Matters
One of the few hotels directly on Andrássy Avenue — a World Heritage site — with a genuinely historic 1880s building (original frescoes, decorative ceilings, and inlaid floors intact), steps from the State Opera House and St. Stephen's Basilica. Tablet Hotels and Michelin Guide listed.
A 19th-century townhouse on Andrássy Avenue — a UNESCO World Heritage boulevard — turned four-star boutique hotel. The building dates to 1880–1882, designed by architect Adolf Feszty for tobacco merchant Henrik Schlossberg, and has housed banks, a pension insurer, and Budapest's first movie theatre before conversion to a hotel in 2013. Original frescoes crown the glass-topped atrium lobby, and the ornate staircase is still there. The 99 rooms are modern with an Art Deco lean; upgrade to a Signature or suite category to get Andrássy Avenue views, Rituals toiletries, and a Marshall speaker.
