A 19th-century townhouse on Andrássy Avenue — a UNESCO World Heritage boulevard — turned four-star boutique hotel. The building dates to 1880–1882, designed by architect Adolf Feszty for tobacco merchant Henrik Schlossberg, and has housed banks, a pension insurer, and Budapest's first movie theatre before conversion to a hotel in 2013. Original frescoes crown the glass-topped atrium lobby, and the ornate staircase is still there. The 99 rooms are modern with an Art Deco lean; upgrade to a Signature or suite category to get Andrássy Avenue views, Rituals toiletries, and a Marshall speaker.

The hotel's showpiece. The standout feature: an open-air terrace facing directly onto St. Stephen's Basilica. There's also a kitchenette. Book this one for anniversaries or an extended stay.
