Why It Matters

That name is a portmanteau of 'Swiss' and 'Texan' — and it works. Hôtel Swexan is a 22-story, 134-room luxury boutique hotel in Dallas's Harwood District, developed by family-owned Harwood International and designed by world-renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Think mirrored floor-to-ceiling glass on the outside and hand-carved stone fireplaces on every floor inside. Five restaurants, a 75-foot rooftop infinity pool, a Michelin Key, and a late-night cocktail lounge hidden behind a bookcase: this is a hotel built to keep you on-property.

The corner layout plus a private outdoor garden patio — the only standard-category room at Swexan with outdoor space. Have your coffee outside over Uptown Dallas before the city wakes up. Soaking tub and walk-in shower inside.
KingGrand Swexan Suite
The flagship. Largest suite in the hotel — rich masculine tones mixed with antique focal points, opulent leathers, sled whip-stitch chairs, and a 10-person dining table. Private sauna, 1.5 baths, a two-person shower with five shower heads, a two-person soaking tub, and a terrace overlooking Uptown Dallas. This is the one you book for a celebration.
KingHarwood Suite
Named for the district, designed around the Japanese architectural language of Kengo Kuma and the owners' Samurai art collection. Natural, organic flow throughout — the most architecturally distinctive of the suites.
KingHeritage Suite
Carved limestone floors, tropical leaf patterns, woven textures, and light wood tones make this suite feel resort-like and airy — a deliberate contrast to the darker, moodier rooms elsewhere in the hotel.
KingImperial Suite
A collector's journey expressed in one room. Moroccan influence meets traditional European furnishings, all anchored by natural woven materials. Designed to feel like a residential apartment, not a hotel room.

Same signature layout as the King but with two queen beds. Good for sharing without compromising on the room quality. Same 10' ceilings and floor-to-ceiling window treatment.

The baseline Swexan room and still very good. Floor-to-ceiling windows push all of Dallas into the room. Ten-foot ceilings, 400 thread-count Frette sheets, five-fixture bath with walk-in shower. No skimping on the standard.
KingWest Parlour Suite
Darker, richer, more masculine — this is the Texas urban cowboy interpretation. Hair-on-hide rugs against reclaimed wood floors, with sophisticated dark tones that ground the space without making it heavy.
