Book a Panorama Outside Cabin or Captain's Cabin for wave pool views — worth the premium over countryside-facing Yacht Cabins for the atmosphere

Why It Matters

Sitting right inside the world's largest spa complex (Therme Erding, with 40+ pools, 35 saunas and 28 slides), this internationally award-winning hotel is modeled on the HMS Victory, Lord Nelson's legendary flagship. Nowhere else in Bavaria — arguably in all of Germany — gives you this kind of direct, walk-through-the-lobby access to a thermal mega-complex of this scale.

Hotel Victory is a 4-star, 128-room hotel built to look like it sailed straight out of the 18th century — part HMS Victory tall ship, part Venetian palazzo, anchored right in the middle of Therme Erding's palm-fringed wave pool. The whole concept is nautical: rooms are called cabins, some have porthole-style windows, kids sleep in wall-mounted dinghy bunks. And the payoff for staying here rather than just day-tripping to the baths is real: you get direct lobby access to the wave pool and exclusive early entry starting at 8:30am, a full hour or more before the general public arrives.

Where You'll Stay

6 room types available

Admiral's Cabin
Family Room

Admiral's Cabin

From EUR180 / night

Wood-panelled and cosy, styled as a historic tall-ship cabin. The separate bedroom with bunk beds makes this a solid family option. Porthole-style windows look across to the Venetian palazzo wing, the wave pool and the palm sea — more immersive than the countryside-facing Yacht Cabins. Sleeps up to six.

Bellezza
Family Room

Bellezza

From EUR115 / night

The biggest family option in the palazzo wing. Accommodates up to six people and has bunk beds in addition to the double — ideal if you've got kids who don't want to sleep in a dinghy (see Captain's Cabin for those). Countryside-facing views rather than the wave pool, but still in the palazzo building. Smallest footprint of the family rooms at 25m², so it's cosy with a full group.

Captain's Cabin
Family Room

Captain's Cabin

From EUR180 / night

The showpiece family room. Kids sleep in actual dinghies mounted to the wall — a detail that reliably delights children and makes for memorable photos. Biggest room in the ship wing at 34m², with two single beds plus two dinghy berths in addition to the double. Wave pool views through the windows.

Panorama Outside Cabin
Premium Double

Panorama Outside Cabin

From EUR210 / night

Top deck, best view in the house. The large balcony comes with a built-in 'cuddly shell' — a cocooning outdoor seat — looking directly down to the palm-lined wave pool. Neutral, calm colour palette keeps things elegant rather than theme-park. This is the pick for couples who want the full visual impact of the setting. At 29m² it's compact but well-planned.

Serenissima
Standard Double

Serenissima

From EUR190 / night

Located in the Venetian palazzo wing rather than the ship. Venetian styling — loggia balcony with shuttered doors — opens to views across the palm trees and the anchored ship structure. More romantic and refined than the cabin rooms; good for couples who want the wave pool view without the full nautical theme.

Yacht Cabin
Standard Double

Yacht Cabin

From EUR180 / night

The entry-level cabin, but far from basic. Oval-shaped room with dark ship-wood wall panelling and leather-upholstered seating that genuinely evokes a deep-sea yacht interior. Comes with a ship's bow balcony looking out to gardens and countryside — not the wave pool, so manage expectations on the view. Good pick for couples or solo business travellers who don't need the wow-factor outlook.
