Why It Matters
The Meadowlark Inn sat dormant until Nomada co-founder Kimberly Walker ripped out the parking lot and built a secret garden in its place. Nomada Hotel Group took a forgotten 1952 motor lodge and flipped every obvious motel instinct on its head. Where parking spaces used to be, there are now patios with handwoven Bolivian hammocks. The parking loop became a winding garden path under old-growth oak trees. The result: 22 rooms spread across two private acres between the towns of Santa Ynez and Solvang. No restaurant, no spa, no fitness center — just gardens, a restored 1950s heated pool, bocce ball, fire pits, and complimentary Linus bikes to roll to the nearest tasting room.

Classic – Queen
The entry-level room and still a solid pick. 250 sq ft with a Queen bed, front patio with a Bolivian hammock, and garden views. Compact but well-appointed — the same Italian linens and FableRune bath products as every other room.
Queen
Deluxe – King
A full step up: 400 sq ft with a King bed, an in-room fireplace, a curated wet bar, and a front patio with hammock and garden seating. This is the sweet spot for most couples.
KingGarden Suite – King
The top-tier room and the one worth splurging on. 450 sq ft inside with a King bed under skylights and a wood-stove fireplace, plus 1,000 sq ft of private walled backyard equipped with a soaking tub, fire pit, Bolivian hammock, and seating. Genuine seclusion.
KingGarden Superior – King
260 sq ft inside, but the real sell is outside: a private enclosed backyard with its own fire pit and soaking tub, plus a front patio with a hammock facing the garden. The best value for guests who want outdoor privacy without paying suite rates.
KingHouse Superior – Queen
280 sq ft with a Queen bed. Entry is through the lobby, placing you closest to the main house and pool area. The back patio comes with its own fire pit — better for evenings than the Classic's quieter garden patio.
QueenKitchen Deluxe – King
400 sq ft with a full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, toaster, bar seating, refrigerator), an in-room fireplace, and a pullout sofa for a third guest. Front patio with hammock and garden views. Good for longer stays or anyone who wants to cook in.
