Contemporary alpine luxury with a serious wellness and longevity focus. Clean lines, Swiss moon wood interiors, Jakob Schlaepfer textile art, and a mindful atmosphere. Not a party hotel — this is for people who want to genuinely reset.

Why It Matters
Opened October 2025. Member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Named TIME World's Greatest Places 2026. Houses Switzerland's only full biohacking facility with cryo chambers, HBOT, and 3D body analysis. Part of a three-hotel campus (3*, 4*, 5*) sharing one of Switzerland's most extensive wine cellars.
Huus Quell is the five-star crown of the Appenzeller Huus complex in Gonten, a quiet village in the Appenzell Innerrhoden canton at 900 metres above sea level. Newly constructed in the traditional Appenzeller solid-wood knit method using locally felled 'moon wood' — no glue, no metal — it looks like it belongs here while delivering a thoroughly modern wellness and biohacking program. The spa alone spans 2,200 m² with nine pools, eight saunas, and what the hotel claims is Switzerland's only full biohacking facility, including cryotherapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Named to TIME's World's Greatest Places 2026.
