Pay the premium for a high-floor Times Square view room (41st floor+) — the difference is significant

Why It Matters

Bar 54 claims the title of New York City's highest hotel cocktail bar at 54 floors up. The location is half a block from Times Square proper — close enough to walk to Broadway theatres, far enough to avoid the worst of the tourist crush. No spa on-site, no pool, but the views from high-floor rooms and suites are as good as NYC gets.

A 54-story glass tower sitting just off the neon sprawl of Times Square on West 45th Street. Hyatt Centric is Hyatt's design-forward, non-luxury sub-brand, and this property does it well: 487 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, locally inspired artwork, actual color on the walls. The rooms are compact by any standard other than Manhattan's, but the views — especially from the 40th floor and up — are genuinely spectacular. Bar 54 on the top floor is NYC's highest hotel cocktail bar, and it's the real reason people keep coming back.

1 King Bed

The entry-level room and honestly one of the more honest in the portfolio. Thirty square meters in Manhattan is tight but well-designed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, rain shower, Hyatt pillowtop mattress, Keurig, and a minifridge. City view rather than a direct Times Square look, which suits people who want to sleep in the dark.

On the 20th floor and above, this is a slightly larger king with city views of the Times Square neighborhood. The extra floor space versus the base king is noticeable. Rain shower, floor-to-ceiling windows, full standard amenity package.

1 King Bed High Floor Times Square View

This is the sweet spot for Times Square obsessives. Starts on the 41st floor, so you're genuinely looking down at the light show rather than across at it. An extra square meter versus the standard king, plus bathrobes and slippers are included (not just available on request).

1 King High Floor City View

Same footprint as the standard king but starting from the 27th floor, so the views of northern Manhattan actually earn the upgrade. The difference between this and a Times Square view room is orientation — this looks north, which means Empire State Building and beyond rather than the billboard wall.

1 King High Floor Skyline View Suite
