Il Borro is a thousand-year-old Tuscan hamlet sitting at the center of a 1,100-hectare organic estate, owned since 1993 by the Ferragamo family. Ferruccio Ferragamo bought the whole thing — medieval village, vineyards, olive groves, farmland — and spent decades restoring it into a Relais & Châteaux property that functions equally as a luxury hotel, a working winery, and an organic farm. The estate produces 12 wine labels, presses its own olive oil, grows seasonal vegetables, and feeds much of it directly into two on-site restaurants under Executive Chef Andrea Campani.

Twenty suites and rooms in restored Grand Ducal-era farm buildings a short drive from the main village. These are newer and feel more contemporary than the medieval village options — a better fit for families and groups. The Aie complex has its own Pomario restaurant with an infinity pool and organic pizza.
Capanna (I Borrigiani Farmhouse)
The most distinctive of the three I Borrigiani farmhouses. At 110 square meters, it has an unusual hut-like shape that gives it real character. Inside: two bedrooms (one double, one single) plus two nautical-style bunks. Big outdoor spaces and a shared pool. Adjacent to Poggio Piano.

A large traditional Tuscan farmhouse at I Borrigiani, 1.5km from the main estate. Divided into four apartments, each with 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Private pool, garden, and barbecue area. Separate entrance off the main road — good for self-contained groups.
Classic Room
The two Classic Rooms sit in the heart of the medieval village, on either the ground or second floor. At roughly 20 square meters, these are the most compact option on the property. Views look out over the surrounding countryside or the village's cobblestone streets. Finely designed furnishings make good use of the space.

Four Deluxe Rooms at 30–40 square meters, recently renovated with real attention to detail. Historic House (Dimora Storica)
The most dramatic accommodation on the estate. A 10-room historical mansion built in 1854 by the Hohenlohe Waldenburg family, passed to Duke Amedeo d'Aosta, and acquired by the Ferragamos in 1993. It dominates the medieval village from above and rents exclusively as a whole — for VIP groups, large families, and events. Comes with a heated indoor pool, gym, billiard room, sauna, conference room, and dining room.
Junior Suite
Twelve Junior Suites up to 45 square meters in the medieval village, each one cozy and finely renovated. The location is right in the thick of the borgo — stone alleys, artisan shops, the central piazza just outside the door. Views stretch either across the Tuscan countryside or into the village's most atmospheric corners.

Prestige Suite
Eleven suites at 50–70 square meters, the pick of the village accommodation. Large, bright bathrooms with either a bathtub, shower, or both. Some units feature fireplaces in the living room, and select suites include a Turkish Bath built into the shower — a real upgrade for spa lovers who don't want to leave the room.
