Indrani Lodge
Eco-luxury country retreat. Minimalist interiors with a warm, personal feel. Serious about sustainability without being preachy about it. Part yoga studio, part farm-to-table restaurant, part design hotel. Feels more like staying at a thoughtfully designed private home than a corporate hotel.

Why It Matters
One of Belgium's most genuinely ecological hotels — geothermal heating saves 260 tonnes of carbon per year. The on-site restaurant Petits Éléments grows over 75% of its own ingredients in a 4-hectare permaculture garden just 150 metres from the kitchen. The indoor pool sits in a converted medieval barn, heated to 29°C with zero carbon emissions. It is the only place of its kind in Belgium.
A 14th-to-15th-century fortified medieval farmhouse transformed into a 12-room eco-lodge with serious ecological credentials. The ancient stone exterior hides contemporary interiors with exposed vaulted brick ceilings, wood beams, and curated contemporary art. Owned by Philippe and Jessica Brawermann — two yoga enthusiasts who turned their Brabant farmhouse into a wellness property — it runs on geothermal heating, solar panels, and even powers 39 neighbouring homes through the GreenDyle Co-operative.

How you'll actually spend your days.
A ceramics class without a potter's wheel, held every second Monday evening (19:00–21:00) in the renovated medieval farm building. Led by Marie. Open to all, no prior experience required.
Free bicycles available at the property for guests to explore the countryside around Loupoigne and Genappe.
Several golf courses within easy reach: Hulencourt Golf, Empereur Golf, Pierpont Golf. The lodge can arrange bookings.
Horseback riding through the surrounding rural farmland, arranged via the lodge concierge.
Guided walk through the 4-hectare permaculture garden with the Indrani Earth gardening team. The garden includes a greenhouse, kitchen herbs, unusual vegetables, fruit trees, and resident alpacas and donkeys.
Available to book through the lodge as a concierge activity — a hot-air balloon flight over the Walloon countryside.
Available during certain months, hotel guests join the chef in the permaculture garden to select and harvest ingredients. The chef then transforms those ingredients into a dish served at dinner that same evening. Hands-on and genuinely interactive.
Daily yoga classes in Iyengar, Hatha, and Vinyasa styles. Open to all levels and to non-guests. Equipment (blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, chairs) provided. Multiple classes each day. Also available: parent-child yoga sessions on the first Saturday of each month for children aged 6–10.
Multi-day wellness retreats hosted at the lodge. The whole property can be booked out for a retreat. Third-party retreat leaders can also partner with Indrani as a host venue. Contact yoga@indranilodge.com for enquiries.
