Insolito Boutique Hotel
Art-forward boutique retreat. Brazilian cultural maximalism meets beach-house ease. Think hand-crafted decor, works of art on the walls, books about Afro-Brazilian culture on the shelves — but also caipirinhas by the pool and zero stuffiness.
Day use is available for non-guests — you get pool and beach access with a consumption credit, bookable directly via the hotel
Why It Matters
Each of the 24 suites is built around a different slice of Brazilian culture — there are suites dedicated to music, photography, literature, modernism, and the natural world. The property doubles as a living gallery, with curated art throughout all common spaces. The aGaleria restaurant draws non-guests too. And unlike many boutique hotels in Búzios, this one has a genuine private beach.
Insólito sits right on Ferradura Beach — one of Búzios's most beautiful and calm bays — on a 4,000 sq meter plot with only 24 rooms. Every suite is individually decorated around a theme of Brazilian art, music, photography, or literature, the brainchild of French-born owner Emanuelle Meeus de Clermont. Two pools (one heated, one saltwater natural), a private beach, and an on-site restaurant that's a genuine destination all add up to a property that earns its name.
