Sanctuary Cove Resort
Contemporary Queensland estate resort with genuine heritage bones — grand public spaces, lush tropical grounds, marina access, serious golf, and a surprisingly buzzy F&B scene. Family-friendly without feeling chaotic.

Why It Matters
Australia's first InterContinental Resort and the anchor property of the Sanctuary Cove development. Guests get exclusive access to two championship members-only golf courses including the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in Australia. The one-acre saltwater lagoon pool — complete with actual sandy beach — is a genuine standout in the Gold Coast market.
Australia's first InterContinental Resort sits inside the gated Sanctuary Cove precinct on the northern Gold Coast — a low-rise Queensland estate built around 4.2 hectares of tropical gardens, a saltwater one-acre lagoon beach pool, and a marina full of superyachts. The Great House arrival is genuinely dramatic: stained glass windows, a grand staircase, and kangaroos genuinely grazing on the lawns outside. But the rooms are more contemporary resort than colonial grandeur — all recently refurbished in olive greens, greys, and whites with balconies across three wings (Marina, Garden, Lagoon).
