Why It Matters

JAM is a former 1970s art school turned brutalist-chic boutique hotel, designed by Belgian artist Lionel Jadot. Raw brick, concrete, and plywood sit alongside vintage finds and warm lighting — and the whole thing somehow feels cozy rather than cold. It sits on the Saint-Gilles/Ixelles border, steps from independent restaurants, vintage shops, and art galleries, far from the tourist waffle-and-chocolate circuit.

All hotel guests get free access to the Basic-Fit fitness center located next door to the hotel. Show your room key card at the front desk to get an access card. Open Mon–Fri 08:00–22:30, Sat–Sun 09:00–16:00.
Hotel residents can borrow bikes (Bromptons), scooters, and skateboards to explore the city. The Saint-Gilles/Ixelles neighborhood is very bikeable and Villo public bikes also dock right outside.

A heated shallow pool on the rooftop — open year-round (09:00–19:00). It's more of a soaking/plunge pool than a lap pool (shallow by design), so go in expecting to relax, not swim. Rooftop terrace and sun deck surround it. Guests only.
