Technically in France but squarely in the Geneva orbit, Jiva Hill Resort sits on a 123-acre private estate at the foot of the Jura Mountains, about 10 minutes from Geneva Airport. The architecture takes cues from South African lodges and Swedish archipelago cabins — lots of wood and metal, buildings scattered through parkland rather than stacked in a tower. Opened in 2007, it's the only 5-star hotel in the greater Geneva region, and you pay in euros, not Swiss francs.

Jacuzzi Lodge
The standout room type. At 40m² inside with a massive 70m² private terrace and a private outdoor hot tub, these four lodges feel genuinely separate from the main hotel. Large bay windows flood the space with light. Renovated winter 2023. There's a separate living room with a convertible sofa, so it can sleep four comfortably. Nespresso, minibar, and safe included.
