Why It Matters

A 43-room, 5-star boutique hotel in a restored Neoclassical building on Place des Martyrs — one of Brussels' quietest and most architecturally distinguished squares, built in 1776. The interiors are a curated collision of Art Deco, orientalist, and contemporary art: a Luzzati bronze bas-relief of 'Theseus and the Minotaur' behind the bar, a Philippe Starck mirror in the lobby, an Egyptian-inspired ceiling in the restaurant, and a Le Corbusier-inspired mosaic mural wrapping the basement swimming pool. Every room was individually designed by Italian designer Eugenio Manzoni and filled with pieces from the private art collection of owner Eric Cleton.

The hotel's flagship accommodation at 150 m². This is a proper apartment-style suite with a separate bedroom, a dedicated office space, a living room, a reception room, a full bathroom, and a separate WC. It's the only room in the hotel where you genuinely don't feel like you're in a hotel room — more like the private residence the Juliana always aspired to be.

Spacious and bright at 40–46 m², the Junior Suite is where the Juliana's decorative ambition really gets room to breathe. High ceilings, generous proportions, and a living area that isn't just a corner chair. Guests have described these as among the more comfortable sleeps in central Brussels. Premium Room
The entry-level room and the most varied in the hotel. Some are compact mansard-roof rooms under the eaves with a cosy, tucked-in feel; others are larger with higher ceilings. All have a 200x200cm king bed, views over either Place des Martyrs or the interior garden, and individually designed interiors with neo-classical art, contemporary colour palettes, and exclusive wallpapers. Bathrooms have a separate shower and toilet, hairdryer, and premium toiletries.

At 52 m², the Signature Suite sits under the mansard roof — giving it a distinctive attic-apartment character. Slanted ceilings and a sense of elevation set it apart from the lower-floor rooms.
