Opened in 2022, this 17-floor glass tower sits right on the Ataköy waterfront on Istanbul's European shore, staring straight out at the Marmara Sea. It's not the Bosphorus — and that's the point. Bakırköy trades postcard-strait prestige for direct sea frontage, less traffic, and a noticeably calmer pace. Inside, the lobby chandelier references Turkish flying carpet mythology, the interiors were designed by KCA International with soothing sea-palette tones and Turkish textile motifs, and the dining program is genuinely serious: Akira Back Istanbul is the only outpost of the Michelin-starred chef's restaurant concept in all of Turkey.
