The Kimpton Harper occupies a landmark 1921 skyscraper right in the middle of downtown Fort Worth — and it wears that history lightly. The lobby sits on the 24th floor, so you check in with sweeping views of the Texas plains already doing their thing. Rooms are handsome and residential-feeling, with Frette linens and Atelier Bloem bath products. No pool, but the penthouse bar and award-winning Italian restaurant downstairs are hard to argue with.
