There's a record player and vinyl collection in the lobby seating area — guests can play DJ

Why It Matters

A genuine adaptive reuse story — a bank vault became a hotel — in a city that punches well above its weight culturally. Named after the French region famous for woven fabrics, the hotel leans into Asheville's 'Paris of the South' nickname without winking too hard at it. The tallest building in Western North Carolina means the views are hard to beat.

A converted former BB&T Bank building in the dead center of downtown Asheville — Pack Square, to be precise — turned into a 128-room boutique hotel with serious Art Deco bones. The exterior is stone, metal, and period flourishes; inside it's all European oak floors, Calacatta marble, lush leathers, and original works by local artists on every wall. It's also the tallest building in Western North Carolina, so mountain views come standard. Two solid restaurants, a spa on the third floor, and the most pet-friendly policy in the business (a baby goat has checked in) round out a hotel that earns its place as Asheville's most design-forward address.

Where You'll Stay

5 room types available

Corner Suite
Suite

Corner Suite

Corner placement means windows on two sides and panoramic views of both the city and the Blue Ridge Mountains. A proper living area with a sofa separates the sleeping space from the rest. The art collection here is more extensive than in standard rooms.

Essential King Room
Standard

Essential King Room

The entry-level room, but don't read too much into that. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame downtown Asheville and Blue Ridge Mountain views. Warm wood tones, marble, and brass set the tone, with original ironwork above the bed by local artist Catherine Murphy of Haw Creek Forge. Frette Italian sheets, a yoga mat, bathrobes, slippers, and designer toiletries are all standard.

Luxury Suite
Suite

Luxury Suite

The top-tier option. Extra lounge space, incredibly comfortable sofas and chairs, and what the hotel calls a 'next-level luxury bath' — think deep soaking, serious finishes, and room to stretch out. The art collection goes even deeper than the Corner Suite. If you're celebrating something, this is the call.

Queen/Queen Room
Standard

Queen/Queen Room

Two queen beds make this the go-to for friends traveling together or families. Same design DNA as the rest of the hotel — velvet textures, European oak, local art — with the added flexibility of two beds and mountain or city views through large windows.

Studio King
Standard

Studio King

A slightly more open layout that feels like a proper urban loft. The design language is consistent throughout — lush leathers, warm woods, local art — with sightlines that make the space feel larger than the square footage suggests.
